Join us at Seacoast Eat Local’s first Winter Farmers’ Market of the season!

nov23wintermarketbannerNThanksgiving is just around the corner. Luckily Seacoast Eat Local is bringing back the Winter Farmers’ Market just in time for you to stock the pantry and prepare a big meal with lots of local flavor. Our first market of the season will be hosted by Wentworth Greenhouses, our generous Rollinsford market underwriter. Join us in their sunlit greenhouses on Saturday November 23rd from 10am till 2pm. Be prepared for a feast of the senses, with local farmers, fishermen and food purveyors bringing you the best seasonal offerings of the Seacoast.

Whether you are looking for salad greens and fixings, side dishes or the main feature, you can be sure to complete your Thanksgiving meal shopping list with us. With Hanukkah and Thanksgiving back to back this year, the market provides one stop shopping for all your holiday celebrations, where you can feel great about the food you are buying directly from local farmers and food producers. Check out our Product Search tool to find out where you can get all your local ingredients and locally made delicacies.

Turn your grocery shopping into an event. We’ve got local musician Andrea Szirbik to keep you entertained while enjoying our food vendors’ goodies or learning about winter squash varieties and knife skill techniques. Be sure to spend some time strolling through the greenhouses and enjoying the annual Winter Crafts Market, taking place concurrently with the Winter Farmers’ Market all season long!

Wentworth Greenhouses is located at 141 Rollins Road, Rollinsford, NH, just 1 mile past Red’s Shoe Barn of Dover. Here’s a map!

Those of you that have been to the market before know parking can get a bit crowded at the beginning of the day. We always encourage folks to get together with friends and carpool, or to come later in the day. We will also once again have overflow parking with our partner Salmon Falls Stoneware. A shuttle will bring you to and from market all day long. Click over to this map to see market location and overflow parking.

Ready, set, volunteer! Our volunteers are crucial for setting up, providing information during the market, and cleaning up afterward. Email [email protected] if you would like to help out in any of these areas.
