Getting Your Garden Started, Part 1: Garden Planning for Canning, February 16

Getting Your Garden Started, Part 1: Garden Planning for Canning
Greater Seacoast Permaculture Group
Pittsfield, NH
Saturday, February 16, 2013
12:30 – 2:30 pm

To grow all the food for one person’s needs for the whole year requires, for most people, at least 4,000 square feet (63 ft x 63 ft). Four thousand sq. ft. isn’t possible for most of us, but you can grow enough of your favorite vegetables in a much smaller footprint, to eat fresh all summer and put up some for the winter months. Join Dot Perkins for an information packed talk about the how-tos of planning for canning.

Bringing snacks to share is encouraged!

Note that there is a part two to this class – listed separately as its own meetup. You can come to one or both!

Cost: sliding scale of $10-20. We MUST receive a deposit of $5 from you by February 1 to confirm your registration. Please make out a check to Dot Perkins and send it to: Candis Whitney, 349 Pingree Rd, New London, NH 03257.

Cosponsored by the Greater Seacoast Permaculture Meetup Group, the Central NH Permaculture Meetup Group & NOFA NH.
