Getting Your Garden Started, Part 2: Indoor Seed Starting, February 16

Getting Your Garden Started, Part 2: Indoor Seed Starting
Greater Seacoast Permaculture Group
Dot Perkins’ Homestead, Pittsfield, NH
Saturday, February 16, 2013
3 – 5 pm

So those seed catalogs are here and OMG what choices! Starting your own seedlings saves you money, gets your season started earlier, and gives you much more choice as to what you grow. It’s also incredibly satisfying to watch your plants growing while there is still snow on the ground! Dot Perkins will show and tell us all about starting seeds. Topics to be covered will include how to choose the best varieties for your location, heirloom or hybrid?, how to do a germination test on those old seeds, seed germination and growth requirements and more. A meetup full of tips and tricks.
Bringing snacks to share is encouraged!

Note that there is a part one to this class – listed separately as its own meetup. You can come to one or both!

Cost: sliding scale of $10-20. We MUST receive a deposit of $5 from you by February 1 to confirm your registration. Please make out a check to Dot Perkins and send it to: Candis Whitney, 349 Pingree Rd, New London, NH 03257.

Cosponsored by the Greater Seacoast Permaculture Meetup Group, the Central NH Permaculture Meetup Group & NOFA NH.
