Time to restock your winter larder! On Saturday, January 14th, 39 farmers and food producers will be inside Exeter High School from 10 am to 2 pm for our next Winter Farmers’ Market. Featured Vegetable of the day will be cabbage, with cabbage recipes and information available at the market. You can find a full list of participating vendors and the products they will be selling at www.seacoasteatlocal.org.

We will also be featuring Jeff Warner with live music, Rockingham County 4-H will be there with fun kid’s activities, and St. Vincent de Paul Society in Exeter will be collecting food donations. Many thanks to our sponsors Yoga EastExeter Hospital, and Veris for helping to make these markets possible!

Shrimp! Yankee Fisherman’s Co-op will be at the market with fresh shrimp and lobster. The shrimp season is very short this year, so get them when you see them!

Fruits and vegetables: Apples, dried beans, mushrooms, carrots, fresh spinach and salad greens, onions, kale, potatoes, sprouts, arugula, asian greens, beets, bok choy, kohlrabi, fresh and dried herbs, and much more! The abundance of fresh delicious vegetables in the winter is amazing!

Locally raised meat and eggs: Farmers take great care with their animals, and the results are delicious, wholesome meats and eggs that are better for you and better for our environment than the supermarket alternative. Look for beef, pork, chicken, lamb, goat, rabbit, and guinea hens as well as eggs from 8 farmers.

Baked Goods and Ready to eat meals, soups and stews, sausages and more, utilizing local ingredients.
