It’s thanks to the efforts of home gardeners like Dennis Chasteen, that locally-grown food is made available through Seacoast area food pantries. We’ve long been admirers of his endeavor to provide fresh vegetables to the Seacoast Family Food Pantry in Portsmouth, and were able to visit his garden in Lee, NH, when it was included in a recent tour. Pictured here are just some of the 24 beds he maintains, already in their second planting, and dedicated to the needs of the food pantry.
