Holiday Farmers’ Market, Rollinsford, December 17th

On Saturday, December 17th, 50+ farmers and food producers will be inside the beautiful Wentworth Greenhousesin Rollinsford, NH, from 10am to 2pm for our next Winter Farmers’ Market. You can find a full list of participating vendors and the products they will be selling at www.seacoasteatlocal.org. This will be Seacoast Eat Local’s last market until January 14th, so be sure to come stock up!

Wentworth Greenhouses is located at 141 Rollins Road, Rollinsford, NH. Just 1 mile past Red’s Shoe Barn of Dover. Here’s a map!

Market Shuttle, free and easy parking: There will be a free shuttle van running continuously throughout the duration of the market. Salmon Falls Stoneware at 75 Oak Street in Dover is again host to our shuttle parking location. Arrive and leave on your own schedule, with easy parking and drop off for you and your shopping bags! For map > (We apologize for the missing shuttle at the 12/3 market, scheduling has been doubly confirmed for December 17th!)

Looking forward to — Fruits and vegetables: Fresh greens! Including salad mix, spinach, several types of kale, collards, bok choy, microgreens, and beet greens. Stock up on apples and pears for healthy holiday snacks. Meat and dairy: beef, pork, chicken, turkey, elk, lamb, venison, and goat as well as milk and yogurt, cheeses, and eggs. Ready to eat meals for easy dinners on busy nights: soups and stews, potpies, and pork pies utilizing local ingredients in their recipes.

Holiday gifts: Honey and maple syrup, granola, coffee, teas, maple candy, and herbal products are all welcome gifts. Purchase a tote bag to fill with delicious foods such as cheese, crackers, and wine. Throwback Brewery will be selling gift certificates to their Farmer’s Stout Series. Gift tokens to the market are available at the Seacoast Eat Local info booth in $5 increments.

Free Kids Activity: There’s lots to do at the market! In addition to live music, good food to eat and buy, our wonderful volunteers Julieanna and Emily will be offering a free kid’s activity to help keep kids entertained during your shopping trip.

Food Donations Welcome: The New Hampshire Food Bank will be at the market to collect food donations from consumers and vendors on behalf of those in need on Saturday. Fresh foods are encouraged; consider buying extra potatoes, onions, or squash to donate.

SNAP (foodstamps) can now be used at the winter farmers’ market. SNAP customers will swipe their EBT cards at the market info booth, and then use tokens to shop with approved vendors. Help us spread the word about this important new project to provide access to wholesome foods to people of all incomes. Debit card customers can also purchase tokens to be used with all vendors.
