Films: “Meet Your Farmer” and “Rustlewood”, May 20

A free screening of Meet Your Farmer and Rustlewood, two documentaries about farming in Maine, is being hosted by the Kittery Land Trust on Sunday, May 20th at 4 p.m. at the Dance Hall in Kittery, ME. These event is part of KLT’s Lecture/Film Series celebrating their 25th Anniversary, and is free and open to the public:

Join us for the fourth of Kittery Land Trust’s 2012 monthly lecture/film series. Two short films — Meet Your Farmer produced by Maine Farmland Trust and Rustlewood by Peter Randall on the Johnson Farm of Kittery — present nine authentic portrayals of the enduring vibrancy of Maine farming from Aroostook to York County.  Meet Your Farmer  and Peter Randall’s new documentary featuring Kittery’s own Johnson Dairy Farm, reveal the beauty and hard work behind producing food locally. Total run time: 62 minutes.

This series, celebrating KLT’s 25th Anniversary, is free and open to the public, no reservations required.
