2012 Chicken Coop Competition

NOFA-NH, the Small and Beginner Farmers of NH, and the NH Farm Bureau Federation are collaborating to bring you the 2012 Chicken Coop Competition.

The competition will be held at the 2012 Farm & Forest in Manchester, February 3 & 4, 2012 and is open to all NH residents. Photos and description of the coops will be exhibited at the NH Farm Bureau booth and judged at 3 p.m. on February 3. People’s Choice voting will happen at that time.

There are four categories: MOST UNIQUE, MOST FUNCTIONAL, PEOPLE’S CHOICE and YOUTH. Winners in each category will receive a one-year membership to all three of the sponsoring organizations.

To enter, send five photos and a 100-words-or-fewer description of your coop to 2012 Chicken Coop Competition, NH Farm Bureau, 295 Sheep Davis Rd., Concord, NH 03301. Or you can e-mail your entry to [email protected]. Deadline is February 1, 2012 so you have plenty of time to get your ladies used to posing.

Judging panel will include judges from Northeast Organic Farmers Association New Hampshire Chapter, Small & Beginning Farmers, and Farm Bureau.
