Celebrate NH Eat Local Month!

August is NH Eat Local Month, and what better time to enjoy all that our local food community has to offer! Make sure to visit their events page for local food and agriculture activities happening all over the Granite State.

As part of this month’s festivities, Governor John Lynch has proclaimed August 7-13 as NH Farmers’ Market Week. Visit one of nearly 90 farmers’ markets in NH for the freshest local products all season long. Many market locations will offer special activities and entertainment during farmers’ market week. For a list of NH Farmers’ Markets see http://www.nh.gov/agric/public ations/documents/farmersmarkets.pdf

NH Eat Local Month is a collaboration of the NH Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food as well as dozens of businesses, individuals, and groups throughout the state. They welcome everyone participating and promoting NH grown foods, and would like to hear how you plan to celebrate. If you are planning an event  during 2011 August Eat Local Month, please send your event details to [email protected].
