Herbal Salve Making Workshop with Big Tree Herb Farm

November 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

$40

Join us on November 2nd at 10 AM at Tuckaway Food Commons in Lee, NH, for an engaging workshop, “Herbal Salve Making and an Introduction to Using Herbal Essential Oils,” led by Gail Henderson, co-owner of Big Tree Herb Farm in Lebanon, Maine. With decades of experience in herbal studies, Gail began exploring medicinal herbs as part of her health journey after being diagnosed with M.S. Following severe reactions to prescription medications, she turned to a naturopathic approach, incorporating herbs and essential oils into her treatment.

During the workshop, using medicinal herbs grown on her farm, Gail will demonstrate how to make a skin salve (though it is not a hands-on class), and attendees will take home a sample of the salve created, along with another of their choice from Big Tree Herb Farm’s 15 herbal salves. These salves are crafted to address a range of skin concerns, from dry, chapped skin to more serious conditions like Psoriasis and Eczema. This 45-60 minute workshop also includes an informational packet with salve recipes and helpful resources to continue your herbal journey at home. Whether you’re new to herbal medicine or looking to expand your knowledge, this family-friendly event offers a meaningful way to explore the healing potential of herbs.
