Amy Pollard is a retired HR professional and a board member of Slow Food Seacoast. She will be covering topics on hiring and retaining the best employees:

  • How to find the best applicants
  • How to interview – what to ask, what not to ask, and how to make sure you get the information you need to make the best hiring decision
  • How to check references
  • Communicating your expectations to the new employee regarding your farms’ goals and priorities
  • Motivating your employee for the best performance
  • How to address problems with your employee – corrective action, and termination of employee when necessary
