Welcome
Every summer we hear the story of neighborhoods overrun with one vegetable or another. Very often it is the zucchinis or the tomatoes, which have been grown in such abundance by one backyard gardener that there is little choice but to distribute the excess harvest to their neighbors…in the dead of night. With nearly 100,000 people in New Hampshire living below the poverty line and even more in need for food assistance, this excess harvest can provide an important service as soup kitchens and food pantries are capable of accepting not just the traditional canned goods, but also the excess fresh foods that are grown in thousands of home gardens and farms across the state.
