Beer & Bread Day at the Winter Farmers’ Market

The next Winter Farmers’ Market on March 14th will be our Beer & Bread Day market at the Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, NH. The market runs from 10-2 and will be our last winter market at that location this season! (Don’t worry we’ve still got 2 more left at Exeter High School.) Be sure to mark your calendars and invite your friends for a delicious day at market.

At this market we’ll be highlighting some of the delicious grain-based goodness available locally all season long!

Grab a Fresh Loaf

There is always lots of delicious fresh bread at the market with plenty of samples to help you pick your favorites.

Sunnyfield Brick Oven Bakery regionally sources wheat from Maine, NH, Vermont, and Quebec. They have have just begun to make an all-new New Hampshire grain bread: Dark Rye, from Brookford Farm’s new coarse-ground rye flour.

Canterbury Bread Shop bakes bread at their brick oven located at Brookford Farm. They use a percentage of Brookford Flour in all varieties.

Forty Five Market St. Bakery & Cafe uses Vermont-based King Arthur Milled flour for their artisan bread varieties.

There is something very satisfying about pairing local loaves with local pints.

If you believe in supporting local farms and love beer, then Throwback Brewery has a growler that will leave your taste buds and spirit satisfied. Be sure to ask them about the many farms they work with and their awesome sourcing efforts! (They’ll also be offering tastings during this market at our 1st ever Drink Local Tasting Event!)
