Master Gardener Training, Fall 2013

The UNH Cooperative Extension is now accepting applications for the Fall 2013 training of Master Gardener volunteers, deadline July 15th:

Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by UNH Cooperative Extension staff. They provide practical home and garden education to help people and communities solve problems, develop skills and develop a better future. They answer questions at our phone center and at horticultural events, county fairs and farmers markets. They help create and manage school gardens, community gardens and demonstration gardens. They provide gardening information through news and social media and host workshops, tours, classes and clinics in their communities.

How do I become a Master Gardener Volunteer? After you complete an application, we will meet with you for a short interview. Our primary requirement is you must be willing and available to volunteer 55 hours upon completion of your training. You will attain your Master Gardener status upon completion of the training and 55 volunteer hours.

Fall 2013 classes are on Thursdays, 9-4:00, September 5 – December 5, 2013, excluding the week of Thanksgiving. Inclement weather date is Dec 12.
