Thanks to the efforts of local folks, Salt + Sea Community Supported Fishery (CSF) has added a weekly pickup in Kittery on Wednesday evenings. You sign up for two months at a time, year-round, and pick up 1 or 2 pounds (your choice) of fresh fish and/or shellfish.
Sustainability is important to Salt + Sea, “We choose our fish based on the soundness of stock levels, and our shares consist mainly of Acadian Redfish, Haddock, Monkfish, Pollock, Flounder and Hake. Each week’s fish varies depending on what the boats bring in, and we work closely with local fishermen to offer their freshest catch. We also work with local shellfish harvesters, to supply our members with the best of Maine’s oysters, clams, mussels and scallops.”
