Seacoast Eat Local is pleased to announce the fifth year of our Winter Farmers’ Market! Join us this Saturday, November 19th, as we begin the season at Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, NH, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plan to fill your Thanksgiving holiday table with local bounty — meats, cheeses, milk, eggs, vegetables, baked goods, maple syrup, and much more will be on offer. Visit us at www.seacoasteatlocal.org, where you’ll find a full list of participating vendors and the products they’ll be selling.

Wentworth Greenhouses is located at 141 Rollins Road, Rollinsford, NH, just 1 mile past Red’s Shoe Barn of Dover — here’s a map! We will be offering the parking shuttle again this year, with parking at Salmon Falls Stoneware, 75 Oak Street in Dover, just around the corner from the market. The shuttle will run continuously from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., arrive and leave when you like. Wentworth Greenhouses is both our generous collaborator and sponsor, and we thank them as we look forward to another great season of Winter Farmers’ Markets!

Set Your Table with Local Food

From milk, eggs, and butter to apple cider, pears, and pie pumpkins, farmers and food producers will be offering a wide variety of foods for a completely delicious and local feast. There will be potatoes, carrots, winter squash, onions, beets, leeks, broccoli, parsnips, turnips, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts and salad greens.

Farms are taking pre-orders for turkeys (see below for details). A wide variety of beef, pork, poultry and lamb will also be for sale. Dinner rolls, pre-baked pies from locally grown fruit, bread for stuffing, honey and maple syrup will also be in abundance.

Area food producers have pledged to a high standard of localism and will be offering ready to eat meals, soups and stews, sausages and more, utilizing local ingredients in their recipes.
