Thursday, September 22, 2011
6-8:30 p.m.

Instructor: Hillary Nelson, noted culinary expert and columnist for Concord Monitor

There’s probably no better time than September to cook from the garden in New Hampshire. Join food writer Hillary Nelson (coldgarden.com) for a demonstration and tasting of local produce at its peak. If Mother Nature cooperates, the recipes may include: heirloom tomato bruschetta; golden squash tortillas filled with local beans, tomatillos and herbs; spicy beet soup topped with Silver Queen corn and homemade créme fraîche; a salad of caramelized pears and fresh greens; and a trio of sorbets—Concord Grape, Northern kiwi and fall raspberry.

Fee for Class: $50/non-member; $45/member
