On Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., UNH Cooperative Extension will be hosting a Winter Sprouting Broccoli Twilight Meeting. The event will be at the UNH Woodman Research Farm in Durham. This new crop (winter sprouting broccoli) can be used to fill a March-April market window. You can also see a range of season-extension structures, high tunnels, low tunnels, and rowcovers, in action at the farm. As well as be able to network with other growers about season-extension strategies for harvesting in early spring.
